No more Leggins she writes..

By Willie Feliciano

Last week in the newspaper "The Observer" a lady wrote about her distaste in leggins. Maryanne White wrote her letter to the paper stating that leggins look "painted" on womens bodies, they made women look naked and exposes their "nether regions". Ms. White also wrote to the female students at her sons school, The University of Notre Dame in Indiana, to ask them to stop wearing leggins.

Ms. White details how she saw girls at a recent church service she attended. "I was so ashamed for the young women at mass" I thought of all of the men around and behind us, who couldn't help but see their behinds" she writes. She also states "however that her sons know better than to Oogle at a womans body. At church one "couldn't help but see those blackly naked rear ends" referring to the leggins of the women. She frets because of unsavory guys who are looking at you creepily and nice guys who are trying their hardest not to stare she says. It's a bad situation.

“Let Notre Dame girls be the first to turn their backs(ides) on leggings. You have every right to wear them. But you have every right to choose not to.” Since the writing of her letter she received support and backlash.

Leggins first created as gym wear for women has become a staple in every day outfits for many women.
